Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-21. Draft awaiting legal review before public launch — treat as informational only.
What Cardhunt is
Cardhunt is an online service that helps individual Pokémon Trading Card Game collectors manage their collection, track market values, and surface buying or grading opportunities. Cardhunt is not a marketplace, broker, or investment service. Prices shown come from public market data (PriceCharting) and represent estimates, not offers to buy or sell. You are responsible for verifying conditions, prices, and authenticity before any transaction outside Cardhunt.
Your account
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping that email account secure. One person, one account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital-consent age in your country) to use Cardhunt.
Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or scraping protections.
- Don't upload content that infringes copyright, harasses others, or violates law.
- Don't use Cardhunt to mass-resell pricing data or rebuild the catalog elsewhere.
- Don't register accounts under another person's identity.
Your content
You retain ownership of the collection data, photos and notes you upload. You grant Cardhunt a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and process that content solely to deliver the service to you. If you make your public profile visible, the data we describe on the profile becomes readable by anyone with the link.
Service availability
Cardhunt is provided "as is" during the beta. We do our best to keep nightly data fresh and the app responsive, but we can't guarantee uptime, data accuracy, or that any specific feature will remain available. Prices and signals are informational only; not financial advice.
Pricing & paid plans
Cardhunt is free during the beta. Paid plans, when introduced, will be billed via Stripe and you will be notified in-app and by email before any charge takes place. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Cardhunt is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, lost profits, lost collections data caused by user error, or third-party service outages (Supabase, Vercel, PriceCharting, Pokémon TCG API). Total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid Cardhunt in the prior 12 months, which is currently zero for beta users.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product matures. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and announce changes in-app and via email for material updates. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes first go through good-faith email negotiation; remaining disputes fall to the competent courts in the Netherlands.
